Taiwanese breakfast is a must around the Arcadia / Monrovia area east of LA! I was here this past weekend as this spot was the closest for taiwanese breakfast by the hotel I was staying at. I went with my friend & her parents, and we shared a bunch of little things -- the purple rice salty fantuan, egg omelette, cold soymilk, and the green onion pancake. Their cold soymilk is really good and fresh -- probably the best I've had since being in Asia last year. The portion sizes here are pretty big and can be easily shared, especially if you want to try multiple things. Between the four of us, we had a decent sized breakfast just under $30 total. I ended up ordering a sesame paste mochi and another fantuan to go because I liked it so much and thought it would be a good snack on the road for later. There are other items on the menu I wish I tried if I wasn't so full, like the oyster omelette and the beef noodle soup. Service was really fast around 9:30am on a Sunday. Pay with cash to get 2% off your bill. Definitely will come back next time!

so sad there are barely any taiwanese breakfast places on the westside, let alone ones that stay open past breakfast hours, and that i have to drive all the way out to arcadia/monrovia when the craving hits at random hours of the day. this place has all the staples, and they're open until 7pm! it might be too much to ask for a 24/7 taiwanese breakfast joint but 7 to 7, seven days a week, is already way more than i could ask for.

Nice place for Taiwanese breakfast. They have the typical egg omelette (蛋餅), soy milk, Chinese donut (油條), and baked sandwich (燒餅). Food was delicious and it hits the spot if you are craving this type of breakfast. Prices are average. The soy milk is $3.50 a cup and $4.25 for a large. However, we were overcharged for the baked sandwich with egg. The baked sandwich already came with egg and they charged us an extra $2 for adding an egg. Egg omelette is $6.50 each. Ambiance of the restaurant was good, until some guests came in and talked so loud the whole restaurant could hear them. This is by no fault of the restaurant though. The restroom is acceptable. Areas for improvement: Better customer service. There was no greeting when we came in, so we sat at a table. There was still no one coming, so we went to order at the counter and it felt more like a self-serve restaurant. They also used styrofoam boals for customers to use, which isn't as environmentally friendly. But we would come back because the food is so delicious.

Great spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch. I like that this place opens early. You can drop by and grab a fresh hot breakfast to begin your road trips. The food consists of traditional Taiwanese breakfast and lunch items. They have hot soy milk, snacks, sandwiches, dumplings, and steam buns. I got the beef sandwich. It's a puff pastry stuffed with slices of marinated beef and spring onions. I also got some fried dough with hot soy milk. Mmmm...

We arrive around 9:00am and it only had 2 table of customer but fills quickly at around 9:30am. We are party of 5 but only 2 of us arrived first so we have ordered following items: - Salted Purple Rice Roll + egg - Good, the egg is a little dry if it is sunny side up will be better. - Daikon Cake + egg - Ok, this radish cake was a little to watery and egg too dry same as above sunny side will be better. - Egg Omelet - Good the taste and texture with the sauce provided - Beef Sandwich + Sour Pickle - Good, It was flavorful with Sour Pickle and crunchy flour skin. It goes well with Hot soy milk. - 2X Hot Soy Milk - Great, nice nature and silky. I drink without sugar and already taste of light bean sweetness. You can order at the counter and will receive a number after order on the receipt. They take credit cards if order above $25. Overall service is quick, and food was decent so I will give it a 4 Stars. We'll definitely come back passing by or in the area.

I come here for breakfast once every so often, and I'm a fan. On my most recent visit, I got: Taiwanese meatball: The meat filling was delicious and they prepared the sauce just right. Egg crepe (Dan bing): Light and fluffy with a garlicky dipping sauce. Porkchop over rice: This one was a little disappointing. The pork chop felt over breaded, but not terrible. Just mediocre. Mochi: I got 1 sesame and 1 peanut filled mochi. Both were good, but the peanut filled was the winner. The texture was so soft and the filling wasn't too sweet. Tip: Purchases under $25 is cash only. They will accept credit cards with purchases of $25 or more, but you'll receive a 2% discount if you pay cash.
